Welcome to the home page for KimberlyC.
I still clearly remember in my head the experience that I went through when my primary teeth began to wiggle. Sitting comfortably on my dad's lap, he carefully tied a thread tightly and firmly on my loose tooth and gently explained with a soft, strong and confident voice what he was doing so that I could have a beautiful new tooth later on. Of course I was nervous but I trusted him. While I was listening calmly to his conversation and paying the least attention to what he was doing, my dad quickly pulled out the tooth. I hardly noticed. Most of the time I would cry, but this was because of the surprise and I was scared of the small amount of blood. It didn't hurt much.
Later, at eleven years old, I saw a dental chair for the first time. My mom took me to visit a private dental office in the neighborhood. I was in love. Climbing up in the light blue leather chair, I was amazed at all the equipment surrounding the chair. There was a clean and shiny white porcelain bowl with water automatically flowing out of a tiny silver pipe with a blue plastic cup under it. There was a bright, clean overhead light connected with a movable long arm like a wing. The chair could move up and down and lay down the back of the chair, which lay me down slowly and comfortably. Right at that moment I knew, I had to be a dentist when I grew up. Dentistry has been my passion since then.
I have worked as a Registered Dental Assistant who graduated from City College of San Francisco on July 1991. I achieved an Associate of Science Degree and engaged in internships at UOP, UCSF dental schools, and private offices. My work experience exceeds 20 years and I have always received good reviews and achieved great chairside experience.
I am also a Registered Dental Hygienist who graduated from the Dental Hygiene program at Carrington College California in Sacramento on January 2013. I performed many hours of clinical rotations, in several different facilities and departments. I have gained other relevant experience in other positions. I have held and have developed a strong work ethic.
I enjoy my career and always want to help people in maintaining good oral health. This is my opportunity to succeed in the goal of maintaining healthy gums as a strong foundation for my patient’s teeth, and to be more knowledgeable about dentistry.
